MemoBell terms of service
Last updated 3 November 2026
These terms apply to the MemoBell Chrome extension (“the extension”), published by xtended (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the extension you agree to them. How we handle information is described in the privacy policy.
Summary
- MemoBell is free to use, and no account is needed.
- What you write stays in your browser. You're responsible for keeping a backup of anything important.
- Google Drive backup is optional and also governed by Google's terms.
- The extension is provided as is, without warranties.
Using the extension
You may use the extension for personal or work purposes. Don't use it to break the law, or to store or embed content you don't have the right to use.
Your content
Your tasks, notes and activity log belong to you. They're stored in your browser, not on our servers, so we can't see, recover or restore them for you. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the extension deletes them.
To protect against loss, turn on Google Drive backup in Settings or keep your own copies of anything important.
Reminders
Reminders are shown as browser notifications on your device. They depend on your browser, device and notification settings, so we can't guarantee every reminder arrives on time. Don't rely on the extension alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm.
Google Drive and other services
If you connect Google Drive, your use of it is also governed by Google's terms of service. Websites and videos you embed in notes are loaded from their own sites and are governed by those sites' terms. We aren't responsible for these services.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension under these terms. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it, or remove its notices, except where the law allows.
Changes and availability
We may update the extension, add or remove features, or stop offering it. If we plan to stop offering it, we'll try to give notice so you can back up your content.
Disclaimer and liability
The extension is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost data, missed reminders, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the extension.
Ending use
You can stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. Back up your content first if you want to keep it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date above. Continuing to use the extension after a change means you accept the updated terms.
